There was no going back; there was no choice, anymore. I'd chosen out and this was it: hot-cold, dry-wet, bright-dark and lonely.

Hayley has gone Rogue.

She's left everything she's ever known- her friends, her bees, her whole world- all because her curiosity was too big to fit within the walls of her underwater home.

But what is this new world she's found? Is it somewhere she can belong?

Or will she have to keep running?

My Review
Thoughts on the book: Rogue is the thrilling sequel to Hive by the amazing author A.J. Betts and continue on exactly from where we left off in book one. Hayley has escaped from her the only world she has ever known as is now floating around in the middle of the ocean. Coming upon a small island she is taken in by a family and slowly learns that the world that she left may have been safer than the one she has come into. Having to learn about all of the new things that she is encountering and how much the world above has changed makes for a very disorienting time for Hayley. But when a medical emergency leads to Hayley having to leave the island and leave all she has become familar with Hayley has to run away from the person who is healing her to save her life. From here Hayley discovers more of this new world that she is now apart of and suddenly it seems everywhere she turns she seems to see Will, the boy she fell for in her old world, everywhere. But what happens when she actually sees Will and discovers that he intends to go back to the world be so wants to leave? Can Hayley convince him to stay?

A massive thank you to the amazing Hannah from Pan Macmillan Australia for sending me a copy of Rogue to read and review for you. After finishing Hive last year I couldn't wait to read the next book in the series to find out what happened to Hayley after A.J. Betts left us on that massive cliffhanger at the end of book one. Knowing coming into Rogue that this would be the last book, seeing as this is a duology, I was hoping for big things and just had my fingers crossed that everything would be wrapped up in a tight little bow and I wouldn't be left wanting more. Well Rogue was everything I could have possibly asked for and more.

Right from the opening chapter I was sucked in and I was never able to let go. I read Rogue in a day and was so surprised when I went to turn the page and found that there was no more pages left to turn, I literally couldn't put the book down. Every time I was about to put it down to have a break something exciting would end up happening that would draw me in and I just couldn't stop. I throughly enjoyed reading Hayley's journey from a shy, timid girl who was just trying to navigate the world to the strong Hayley at the end of the book who knows her place in the world and finally feels that she belongs. The ending of Rogue was one of the best endings that I could have asked for in a duology and everything was just wrapped up so perfectly. Rogue definitely deserves the 5 start review I have given it and will de be in my top 5 books of the year without a doubt.I can't believe this series is now over but I know I will certainly be reading more from A.J. Betts in the future.
