Freedom matters to Annie. She has cerebral palsy and she's had to fight hard to ge the world to see her for who she truly is.

Annie is starting college. She can't wait. No more school, no more uniform, and no one telling her what to do. It's the start of a new adventure and Annie's not going to let anyone or anything get in the way of that.

Then she meets Fab. He's six foot two, Polish and a passionate believer in.... well, just about everything, but most of all he believes in Annie and good old fashioned romance. The moment Fab sees Annie, he's wildly drawn to her and declares she must be his girl. Annie's horrified. She doesn't want to be anyone's anything, especially if it means losing independence.

But then Annie finds herself falling for Fab. As things go deeply wrong, Annie realises that love can make you do wild, crazy things, and so she sets out to win his heart with a romantic gesture of truly epic proportions!

My Review
Thoughts on the book: Truly, Wildly, Deeply is the new novel from YA author, Jenny McLachlan, author of Flirty Dancing, Love bomb, Sunkissed, Star Struck and Stargazing for Beginners. Truly, Wildly, Deeply tells the story of cerebral palsy sufferer, Annie who this year is starting college (basically year 11 and 12 here in Australia) and is determined to make it the best years of her life with new friends who don't really know her and what she has been through. Immediately she makes some new friends, Hilary, Jim, Mal and Oliver and they quickly become a close knit group, but there's someone else who's attention Annie has caught. In her English class, where they have just started Wuthering Heights, Fab comes in late and sits right next to Annie. From the moment they start talking Fab annoys Annie and won't leave her alone, he wants to make Annie 'his girl'. But Annie has spent enough time depending on people and really just wants to assert her independence so declines Fab whenever she can. But when the proposal of friendship is thrown around, she jumps on it and they become really good friends. But as their friendship progresses and might be progressing into something more, Annie makes a silly mistake at a party and suddenly Fab wants nothing to do with her. Will the ultimate romantic gesture win Annie back Fab's heart or has she lost the one person who might change her mind about love?

A massive thank you to Sonia from Bloomsbury for sending me a copy of Truly, Wildly, Deeply to read and review. I orginally picked up the book to have a quick flip through while I was looking at some books on my TBR pile and after quickly reading the first chapter I realised I wouldn't be putting Truly, Wildly, Deeply down anytime soon and starting reading again and before I knew it I was at the end of the book wondering where my day had gone. Right from that first moment Annie gets a grip of you and doesn't let go. From the opening moment we get an insight into her humour
I am sitting on a train waiting for my adult life to begin. If my mum wasn't standing on the platform watching me this would be a really kick-ass moment.
It's hard not to fall in love with her because she always strives to make the most of each situation and doesn't let her cerebral palsy hold her back. She is a strong independent person and that's how she wants everyone to see her. She challenges people to look beyond the disability which everyone should be doing regardless.

But I think by far my favourite part of the book would have to be Fab. The language barrier he has at the start of the book makes for some hilarious results and that just adds to his charm. His personality means that he is friends with everyone, really doesn't care what people think of him and just goes for what he wants in life and realistically that basically what Annie is like too. So you would think that they would make a perfect couple but instead it seems they butt heads more than anything. Despite this Fab fights and fights to be apart of Annie's life until he is left heartbroken by one mistake that Annie makes. It's during this time that I really loved Fab's character as we truly got to see what a sweetheart he is and how caring he is of everyone around him. I think we all need a Fab in our lives. I would love to read more about Annie, Fab and their friends.
