Despite a meet-awkward at a mutual friend's party, Carter and Evie immediately hit it off. Even the realisation that they're both high-powered agents at competing firms in Hollywood isn't enough to smother the flames.

But when their two agencies merge- causing the pair to vie for the same position- all bets are off. What could have been a beautiful, blossoming romance turns into an all-out war. Carter and Evie are both thirty-something professionals- so why can't they act like it?

When push comes to shove and love fights with hate, will these two ever get their fairy tale Hollywood ending?

My review
Thoughts on the book: Dating You, Hating You is one of the first standalone romance novels from bestselling authors Christina Lauren which is told from the points of view of our two star characters Carter and Evie. Evie has always worked hard at her job, despite having a boss who thinks women aren't up to the standard of men, basically forgoing a relationship and having a family to move higher up the professional ladder. So when she meets Carter at her friend's party and they are the only single people there, of course they gravitate towards each other. Of course they have more in common than they originally thought, turns out they are both big agents for competing agencies they hit it off and start to slowly start a relationship. The night after they get their first taste of each other their relationship comes to a slam as they learn both their agencies have merged and they now will be competing for the one position that is available for their job. Suddenly it doesn't really matter of they had feelings for each other or not what comes first is their job and they will both fight tooth and nail for it with some hilarious results along the way. But when Evie uncovers some troubling information about the company and her boss will Carter stand by her side or use this information against her to climb higher in the company?

Thank you so much to Laura from Hachette Australia for sending me a copy of Dating You, Hating You for review last year. You may be asking why it has taken me so long to read and review this book then this is why. I always tend to push Christina Lauren's books to the back of my TBR pile until I'm either in a reading slump or having a bad day because as soon as I pick up one of their books I know I'm in for an amazing read that instantly revives me. I have to say I nearly think Dating You, Hating You is my favourite book from this duo so far, although I'm still yet to read Roomies and Autoboyography. Carter and Evie have this amazing chemistry that they both try to fight because their whole lives up until this point have been based all around their job and climbing higher on the professional ladder. Neither really knows how to handle both and we get some hilarious results in this book. Of course there was the hot and heavy scenes slipped in throughout the book but my favourite bits were the pairs sense of humour towards each other through their text messages and also when they were in their practical joke faze. The amount of times that I laughed out loud throughout those bits especially when I read about Carter putting glitter in the vents of Evie's car on a cold morning. You can practically picture it in your head Evie walking in to work with glitter all over her with a foul look on her face. I also loved the candy apple that Carter recieved which was actually a Candy Onion, once again I can just imagine his face.

I adored Dating You, Hating You and hope that Christina Laurenwrite more standalone books as well as more series in the future because clearly they are very gifted at both. If we could have another book about Evie and Carter or their friends who set them up (Steph and Mike) as I really liked these characters. Go and get yourselves a copy now!
