Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has been an approved textbook at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry since its publication. Newt Scamander's masterpiece has entertained wizarding families through the generations and is an indispensable introduction to the magical beasts of the wizarding world. Scamander's years of travel and research have created a tome of unparalleled importance. Some of the beasts will be familiar to readers of the Harry Potter books- the Hippogriff, the Basilisk, the Hungarian Horntail. Others will surprise even the most ardent amateur Magizoologist.

My Review
Thoughts on the book: This beautifully illustrated copy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will fit into any Harry Potter fans collection. Filled with new and exciting creatures since it was first published back in 2001, this new copy is filled with the beautiful illustrations by Olivia Lomenech Gill which accompany each description of each different beast. Of course no Fantastic Beasts copy would be complete without the forward by Newt Scamander and the fantastic introduction. There are so many amazing creatures that J.K. Rowling has thought up and to see them brought to life through these illustrations gives us all the chance as readers to have the same image in our heads when we read these names again. Below is my favourite photo in the book which is of the Griffin.
