One Tiny Lie (Ten Tiny Breaths, #2)
Livie Cleary has always been Miss Perfect- but she soon learns that perfection isn't all it's cracked up to be, and finding out who she really is might mean making some mistakes along the way.
"Make me proud." These were the last words Livie's father ever spoke to her. In the seven years since her parent's tragic death, Livie has done her best to live up to this standard through her every choice, word, and action, while looking after her sister with strength and maturity. But with college right around the corner, unexpected challenges will test her resilience- and her heart.
Livie walk into Princeton with a solid plan, and she's dead set on delivering on it: Rock her classes; set herself up for medical school; and meet a good, respectable guy to someday marry. Her plan definitely does not include Jell-O shots; a loveable, party animal roommate she can't say 'no' to; or Ashton, the arrogant- and extremely attractive- captain of the men's rowing team who makes Livie's usually nonexistent temper flare. Worse, he's best friends and roommates with Conner, who happens to fit Livie's criteria perfectly. So why does she keep thinking about about Ashton?
As Livie finds herself facing mediocre grades, career aspirations she no longer thinks she can handle, and feelings for Ashton that she shouldn't have, she's forced to let her last promise to her father, and, with it, the only identify she's ever known.

My Review
My thoughts on the book: Wow. It has been well over a year since I read Ten Tiny Breaths and for the life of me I can't remember why I didn't keep reading the series after finishing the first book. I fell in love with K.A. Tucker's writing all over again and after reading One Tiny Lie I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
Ok so I absolutely loved One Tiny Lie and found it so addictive that I was up till all hours of the night reading it and simply couldn't put it down. We previously met Livie in Ten Tiny Breaths where she was looking after her sister after everything that had happened to the two of them. In One Tiny Lie Livie is all grown up and is off to Princeton to live the dream that she and her father planned for her before he was killed in the car accident. But once she starts college she suddenly see's that the plan that she had been living by might not actually be the thing that she really wants to do in life. She has a big decision ahead of her and it takes her most of the book to decide what to do but that's what makes the book so exciting. It is a fantastic book that really highlights that time in a person's life where a lot of things change and a person truly finds out who they are.
I loved all of the characters in the book, especially Livie's pocket rocket roommate Reagan and Dr Stayner. They both help Livie to grow so much during the book and point her in the right direction of things she should be doing. I found the love triangle to be a little annoying and was wishing for most of the book that she would stop leading Connor on and just get into a relationship with Ashton. I liked Ashton a whole lot better than Connor even though Connor was the more obvious choice for Livie. Ashton has a lot of baggage and tries to hide it by being a total playboy but with a solid girlfriend by his side too. But Livie sees behind the facade and finally gets to the bottom of what makes Ashton, Ashton.
Fans of Colleen Hoover, Abbi Glines and Jamie McGuire will love this series.

Favourite character: Of course it would have to be Livie who is my favourite character. Throughout the book she changes so much from the young shy girl who she was at the start to the strong women she becomes, who knows where she is going in life.

Favourite moment:
“Because you’re not a one-night girl, Irish.” (...) “You’re my forever girl.”
Rating: 5/5
