Misbehaving
Author: Abbi
Glines
Publisher:
Simon and Schuster Australia
Jason Stone is sick of living in his rockstar brother’s
shadow. So when he arrives in Sea Breeze, he’s looking for a chance to make his
own mark, and falling for the local bad girl was definitely not part of his
plan.
Tall, blonde and beautiful, Jess knows all too well the dark
and ugly side of relationships. Having fun is one thing, but anything more is
out of the question.
But the more time they spend together, the more they
realise that when it come to love, sometimes you don’t have a choice…
My review
Thoughts on the book:
As you all should know by now Abbi Glines is one of my all-time favourite
authors and I eagerly anticipate each of her books that come out. Luckily for
me over the last couple of months there seems to have been at least one
released every month so I have been one very happy girl. Now if you have been
following me since I have started reading Abbi Glines books then you will know
that although I enjoyed reading Sadie and Jax Stone’s story in Breathe I seemed
to really struggle with it compared to all the others. So you could understand
why I would have been a little sceptical about reading a story about his
brother Jason. But I am happy to report that I absolutely loved Misbehaving and
really enjoyed meeting Jason and of course Jess and also seeing a little
snippet of Krit.
I have read a lot of people didn’t really care for Jason
but I for one couldn’t wait to read his book. I wanted to see just how
different he would be from Jax and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. He
certainly isn’t the sweet innocent boy that we are all lead to believe he is in
other books, but is infact a very hot, sexy and fun kind of guy. And then there
is Jess. I loved how Abbi made Jess’s character with making her the ultimate
bad girl and being so different from every other character that we have met so
far which made her all the more exciting. These two are the complete opposites
but prove that opposites really do attract and they make the perfect couple.
I really felt like we got to see more of the lower income
side of Sea Breeze and got to learn more about some characters that we haven’t
really learnt much about, like Krit. I really loved Krit and can’t wait to read
his book Bad for You but also in saying that it means that we will be one step
closer to the last book which I am really not looking forward to at all.
Favourite
character: As I kind of touched on above my favourite character would have
to be Jess. She is just totally different from any other female character that
we have met in Sea Breeze so far and brings a whole new dynamic to their group
of friends. She never hides who she is or where she comes from and is quite
proud of this. She is a very trustworthy person and when she becomes your
friend she is fiercely loyal to you.
Favourite
quote/part:
“I had never expected to fall in love, but then, I'd never imagined anyone like Jess. She was one beautiful contradiction. The idea of letting someone else own my heart wasn't appealing. It sounded weak and Foolish. Something meant for the words of a song. I was wrong.”
