A beautiful
bastard of a groom-to-be.
A
bachelor-party-crashing bride.
And one
unforgettable night on the Vegas Strip.
When Bennett’s friends steal him away from Chloe for a
weekend of shenanigans and strippers in Vegas, their first stop doesn’t exactly
go as planned. Their scheme for a guys’ weekend completely derailed, Bennett
and Max take every chance they get to rendezvous secretly with the women they
love. But when the persistently single Will Summer catches on, the pair
realizes they need to team up with him instead of butting heads if they’re to
escape for more sexy Vegas hookups.
My review
Beautiful Bombshell takes place after Beautiful Stranger
and is set in Vegas where Bennett, Max, Will and Bennett’s brother Henry have
all gone off to celebrate Bennett’s bachelor party the way only the boys know
how with ladies, gambling and booze. However there is one small hitch, the only
weekend when they are all free is Valentine’s Day weekend, which means Max and
Bennett will be separated from Chloe and Sara. This leads to Max devises a plan
that secretly sees Max and Bennett hook up with Sara and Chloe. But it’s not
all as smooth sailing as they would think. The boys find themselves in some
hilarious situations and all this occurs only over the one night.
I’m really in love with both this series and the
Beautiful Bastard series and I think that it is fantastic that we get both the
females and males POV. They have amazingly hot sex scenes but that isn’t what I
love about them. It’s more the way all the characters interact and the
hysterical situations that they all seem to find themselves in. I loved reading
more about Will in Beautiful Bombshell and I can’t wait to read more about him
in Beautiful Player.
I had two favourite parts in the book and both of them
involved practical jokes that were played on them. The first one is when Max
convinces Bennett that they should get a hooker to distract Will so that they
can go and find Sara and Chloe and spend some time with them. So Max rings up
his friend and asks him to organise for a hooker to come and entertain him. But
it turns out the joke is on them, when the person sends a cross dressed male
over to entertain Will. Here is a snippet:
With a seductive
grin, she gripped his shirt and pulled him forward, kissing him hard on the
lips. Damn.
He stepped away in
a daze and made his way back to the table. As he took his seat we each looked
at the other, unsure of what had happened. Will was silent for a moment,
blinking several times before reaching for his drink. He drained it in one pull
and then took a deep breath.
“You’re a bunch of
assholes,” he said, leaning back in his chair and popping a shrimp into his
mouth. “But as far as kissing a dude went, that actually wasn’t bad.”
My second one was when Will got payback on Bennett and
Max. Max and Bennett see Chloe and Sara come into the club they are in and all
go off and play some blackjack. They are having a great time until two big security
guards come up and take Bennett and Max away and accuse them of counting cards
and states that they are going to start breaking fingers. Just as Max is
getting all worked up in walks Will laughing his head off. Here is a snippet of
the ending.
Hammer and Kim
moved to me, hand extended and smiles full and easy now. “Sorry, man,” Hammer
said, laughing. “Mr Johnny French called. Said we needed to help your friend
Will even the score. Apparently you deserved some payback for acting like
pussy-whipped little babies earlier?” He held out his hands up, shrugging in a
way that made me wonder whether he was officially associated with the mob. “We
just wanted to fuck with you a little.”
“Seemed the easiest
way to get you away from the ladies,” Will said, ricking on his heels.
I sighed, rubbing
my face and feeling my heart rate slowly return to normal. All said, this was a
pretty brilliant prank.
I can tell you now that I can’t wait to see what
situation they all get into in Beautiful Player and Beautiful Beginning but
also in saying that I will be very sad for it all to end.
