"Have you ever had an addiction? Have you ever wanted something so much that you can't imagine your life without it? For me, that's dance."

This is a story about never giving up on your dreams, no matter what life throws at you. Chloe Bayliss was born to perform and thanks to a lot of hard work and determination, she's on her way to being a Bellarina. At 16, she gets accepted into an international dance school and everything she dreams of is about to come true.

But then overnight and mystery illness takes Chloe from starring in Swan Lake to clinging to life in a hospital bed. Never in her wildest dreams could she have imagined the hurdles she would face-but also how she could eventually triumph.

Against all odds she finds a whole new way to flourish and despite the challenges she faces, Chloe never stops dreaming big. En Pointe is the real life story of how inspiring ballerina became an inspiring young actor after overcoming a life threatening illness.

Miracles really can happen, even if they're not the ones you asked for.

My Review
Thoughts on the book: En Pointe is the true story written by Chloe Bayliss about the struggles she has been through in her short life. Chloe has always dreamed of being a dancer since she was young and her parents and family encouraged her to persue her dream. Working hard for everything and kicking some serious goals in her life, by the time she is sixteen her dream is becoming a reality and she is accepted into a prestigious international dance school, but all her hard work hasn't come without its drawbacks. For awhile Chloe has been feeling unwell but just puts it down to being tired from pushing her body so far. But then suddenly she finds herself rushed to hospital with a mystery illness that the doctors can't figure out what it is. What follows is it truly heartbreaking time in Chloe's life where she fights to just stay alive, but fight she does and she comes out the other side. Unfortunately she is so weak that even though she wants to dance she must listen to her body and not push it so she doesn't end up back in hospital. The strength and determination that Chloe shows is truly inspiring and she does end up making her dream come true and then some.

A massive thank you to the team at AusYa Bloggers and Pantera Press for allowing me to be apart of this amazing tour for En Pointe by the amazingly inspirational Chloe Bayliss.  I must first say a huge sorry that my review is only going up on here now I thought I had actually posted this already. When I got the option to be apart of this tour I was so excited because it's not very often that you come across a book that Stars ballet as its main theme. It was until I actually did research on Chloe that I then realised that she started in one of my favourite Australian shows, Doctor Doctor. Of course I quickly dove into reading En Pointe and I literally couldn't put it down.

En Pointe sucks you into Chloe's world right from the introduction and match that with the amazing writing style you quickly find yourself on the edge of your seat watching as Chloe goes through all of these amazing experiences in her ballet years. But then when things take a turn for the worse you are left feeling every little thing that Chloe does because she writes her story with all the emotion she felt at that time and you can really feel that through her writing. I can't imagine how Chloe was able to pull through the way she did but clearly having a defined goal that so many people didn't believe you could achieve was the motivation she needed to make it through this tough time.

It must have taken so much courage for Chloe Bayliss to decide to share her inspiring story and I can undertaking why she would want to write it to spread more awareness about the rare disease she has and to let other people know to never give up on their dreams no matter what anyone says.

Rating: 5/5 So Inspiring
