The fact that it gets her closer to her longtime crush, Neil Roy- aka Sahil's twin brother? Dream come true x 2
When mystery man 'N' begins emailing her, Twinkle is sure it's Neil, finally ready to begin their happily-ever-after. The only slightly inconvenient problem is that, in the course of movie-making, she's fallen in love with the irresistibly adorkable Sahil.
Twinkle soon realises that resistance is futile: The romance she's got is not the one scripted. But will it be enough?
My Review
Thoughts on the book: From New York Times bestselling author of When Dimple met Rishi comes Sandhya Menon's new YA novel From Twinkle, With Love. Twinkle Mehra has always stood in the background and let life drift along, she's always been behind the camera instead of infront of it and she prefers it that way. Lately she has been struggling with her best friends decision to hang out with the cooler girls group and has developed a serious crush on popular hottie Neil Roy. So when a chance opportunity comes along to work alongside Neil's brother, Sahil and create the film of her lifetime that changes the gender stereotypes of Dracula, Twinkle jumps at the chance it's a win win. But working closely alongside Sahil has made her question her feelings as she finds herself falling for him in place of Neil. But it also seems the more she gets into her role as director of the movie the more she is pushing other people away. In the end will Twinkle lose everyone she cares about just so she can further her career? And will she find out who the mystery 'N' secret admirer is who has been contacting her?
A massive thank you to Hachette Australia for sending a copy of From Twinkle, With Love by Sandhya Menon my way to read and review. I remember seeing all the hype when Sandhya's first book, When Dimple met Rishi, came out and how everyone was just loving it and recommending it left, right and centre so when I was given the opportunity to read her second book I jumped to see if it would live up to the hype. And in case you were wondering it lived up to basically all of the hype. The story was engaging and had so many sweet moments that were equally balanced out with the awful ones that happen in teen's lives, in other words the perfect amount of feels. The main character Twinkle is just adorable and is someone who a lot of teens could really relate to her on so many levels which is always fantastic to see in ya books especially when done right like Sandhya has. Now that I have read this I can't wait to sink my teeth into When Dimple met Rishi and any future books written.
